Light Snowfall Anticipated in High Hilly and Mountainous Regions Amidst Partial Westerly Wind Influence

Kathmandu: Presently experiencing the partial impact of the Westerly wind, Nepal is expected to witness partly cloudy conditions in the hilly region and generally fair weather in other regions, as forecasted by the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Meteorologist Saroj Pudasaini indicated that the hilly region, including Gandaki province, may experience partly cloudy skies in the afternoon, while the weather remains generally fair in the remaining regions. Notably, there is a likelihood of light snowfall occurring at isolated places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces today.

As of now, the air temperature in Kathmandu stands at 17 degrees Celsius, with visibility extending beyond six kilometers, according to the Division's statement. Meteorologist Pudasaini added that Kathmandu can expect partly cloudy conditions with a maximum temperature ranging between 22 to 24 degrees Celsius today.

Looking ahead, the nighttime forecast indicates partly cloudy weather in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with generally fair conditions prevailing in the rest of the country. There exists a possibility of light snowfall occurring at isolated spots in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces during the night.
